Time Time Time

   If we had enough time to finish our game the way we wanted we would only do one thing. This thing is very extensive and time consuming. We want to have a difference between the girl clown game and the boy clown game.
   We got the suggestion that we might want to make the questions different on the different genders. There is only one difference in the genders. The only thing that is different is the colors. We put colors on the girl's that would be appealing to girls and colors on the boy's that would be appealing to boys. I completely agree with the suggestion to change the questions but we simply didn't have the time.
   As you can see, we needed just another week of time. Unfortunatly we had WESTest and couldn't finish the way we wanted to. We honestly wish we could take it back. With all the regret we still love our game the way it is and we are confedent the users will love it too.

My Work to do in One Week

    We have accomplished very little in the past week. We have about three things to do before next Thursday. Our teacher, Mr. Addair, has explained that he wants our game finished by next Thursday. We have gotten two hit tests working and three buttons are completed. We still have a few things to do. We need one hit test and about eight to ten buttons to do. We have buttons to do on our "Your right" scene, "Your wrong" scene, and the "Hint" scenes on all three levels. The hit test we need in on our "Milk bottle" scene. We are so happy to find out this is all we have to do! We thought we had a lot more to do than what we have.

Peer Evaluations April 1

     We did peer evaluations yesterday. We had alot of bad things on our evaluation page. We had a few good things but they were mostly bad. They were bad for several technical reasons. All our scenes are working but we have hit tests and buttons.
     They told us we needed all our hit tests. We do need hit tests. We have three levels that need hit tests. The dart scene hit test was working but we messed it up trying to get the girl clown moving. All I can do is change the names and the speed of the clowns. That is practically all you need but I forget which names to change and what number to speed up.
     The milk bottle scene is not working either. We have chosen two seperate games for our genders and that is proving to be a large problem. I got the boy button working but on the choice scene only the milk bottle button works. When you go to the milk bottle scene the hit test doesn't work.
     The balloon scene hit test still doesn't work either. There are seven different hit tests to do and we haven't found a hit test to work yet. We have good graphics but we are very affraid that no one will get to see the potential if we don't get finished.
    We have a lot to do in the three weeks we have. We are trying our best but we can only do so much.

Wisely Using My Time March 25th

    We have really been slacking lately and we are trying to manage our time more efficiently. We have been doing our game both periods trying to catch up and that is not very wise of us. We are going to start doing our learning log and team page in home room and working on our game in 4th period.
    We are having problems with our game so it takes longer to work on our game than it does the team page and learning logs. We sometimes have problems finishing our learning logs because we try to catch up on our game. We are going to start managing our time effieciently. We are now working on buttons and hit tests.       
     We have had many problems and we can get finished fast if we could get the little technical things working. With our now managed time we will be able to be more organized and finish on time.

Overcoming the Obstacles

    We have had many obstacles while creating our game. We have overcome some of them but there are still a few that we are having problems with. The trouble makers are basically the buttons but we also have problems with hit tests and drag and drop.
     Our buttons are awful! We have deleted and deleted them. After we deleted them we put them back with a code that we know works. All of the codes and names seem to be right but they just don't work. The buttons we are having the most problems with are the ones on the choice scene. We still can't work the buttons for the last nine scenes. If it were not for the buttons our game would only need one scene to finish.
    The next problem that we have is the hit tests. We have two hit tests to fix. The code works but we have just not changed all the names and put it on the nessesary scenes. We need to put it on the dart scene, milk bottle scene, and balloon scene. The balloon scene is going to be the hardest because there are six of them for the one scene.
     The next is the drag and drop. We were going to do a drag and drop on the milk bottles. We got teh drag and drop working then we decided that it was the wrong drag and drop and the kind of code that we wanted was going to be a hit test. We practically wasted our time on the drag and drop. The hit test we need is not yet finished.
     In conclusion, we have alot of codes to work out. We are really working hard on it and hope to finish in the next week or two.

The Accomplishment of My Goals.

     We have set goals for ourselves this week and they are due next Friday. We said that we hoped to have a hit test done on the milkbottles, our buttons finished on the choice scene, and the gender scene working. We have accomplished 2 out of three of these goals. We have a Hit test code and we have the gender scene working. The buttons on our choice scene are still not working. They are the largest hurdels so far. We delete them and put them back then they still won't work. We have had so many problems with those buttons we are just going to keep working and trying to make it work.

The Goal

At the beginning of the week we set a goal for the end of the week. We had some unruly buttons that just didn't want to go to their appointed scenes. We wanted to finish the buttons by Friday. Well Friday rolled around and all our hard work went down the drain when the buttons didn't work. We are stil trying to make them work and we are now recieving assistance from our teacher.
